A Traditional Hindu wedding ceremony of Kishore & Michelle-Ann, the ceremony held at "Sri Mahamariamman Hindu Temple". Sri Mahamariamman Hindu Temple Jalan Tun H.S.Lee (Jalan Bandar), 50050 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Founded in 1873, the Sri Mahamariamman Temple is the oldest Hindu temple in Kuala Lumpur. It is situated at edge of Chinatown on Jalan Tun H.S.Lee (fomerly Jalan Bandar / High Street). The temple was founded in 1873 in the early years of Kuala Lumpur (KL has its origins in the 1850s) as a private shrine by the Pillai family. It was later opened to the public in the late 1920s. The Sri Mahamariamman Temple is the oldest functioning Hindu temple in Malaysia. The current structure of the temple was errected and 1968 and was recently renovated again. The temple is the starting point for the Thaipusam procession to the Batu Caves when thousands of devotees gather outside the temple carrying containers of milk as offering to Lord Muruga. From here they start their ca.15km long walk to Batu Caves which attracts hundreds of thousands of devotees and visitors every January for the Thaipusam celebration. "The Rasah Sri Maha Mariamman Temple was started as a small shrine, situated near the present Hospital Nurses’ Quarters to cater for the spiritual needs of the South Indian workers, residing in a nearby Division (South Division) of United Temiang Seremban rubber Estates, managed by the then Guthrie & Co. According to reports that could be obtained from the older members of the community, the deities were made of mortar at that time. In 1913 the shrine was shifted to the present site under an attap roof. In 1966 a proper mandapam and a shrine were built and the granite statues of Amman, Vinayagar and Murugan were brought from India by the late Mr. Veerasamy Mandor of Temiang Seremban Estate.

出嫁, 迎亲，新郎会带着兄弟和男性亲友到新娘家迎娶。但新娘的好姐妹会在门口拦住新郎。新郎必须答覆相关问题，甚至要吃下好姐妹们做得不能入嘴的食物。同时还要给红包，只有姊妹们满意了，新郎才能入门迎娶新娘。

新娘的姊妹开口讨红包的数目，因为华人通常在办喜事的时候，通常都非常迷信，所以号码都以九为基数，取其“长长久久”之意。红包从九十九新元，九百九十九新元，甚至到九千九百九十九新元都有，但新郎带来的兄弟可以向女方讨价还价。

新郎把新娘迎娶回到男方家中后，新人就要拜祖先，然后向男方的的公婆及长辈敬茶，在让小贝给自己敬茶。然后，新人要再回到娘家向女方家人敬茶。
